If you are careful on what files you open up, you really don’t need to have a anti-virus program in my opinion. To be on the safe side, AVG Free is good to use and it’s free. If you have folks like me that open up every email file that ANYONE emails them 
, then I would recommend Trend Micro. I have tested it on XP and Vista and it works great.
