Using the logic of internet gambling being “more addictive” than brick and mortar gambling as a reason to oppose internet gambling is so hypocritical.
Why?
Think back to before the internet….
Brick and mortar gambling was allowed to exist even though it is clearly addiciting to some people… It wasn’t shut down because gambling in a land casino was “more addictive” than not doing so, or compared to any other activity.
So the argument of it being “more addictive” is moot…
Bottom line, it’s a profitable industry that should be regulated and taxed like any other.
