It’s been a bit of a bumpy road road in the industry over the last few years primarily due to the misguided efforts of the US Legislature. When you remove a large percentage of the players from the worlds largest player pool then earnings suffer and we have seen that.
There is good news though:
1. The European Market and Portions of Asia have grown siginifcantly in value and programs and affiliates which have stepped up service to those markets are being handsomely rewarded.
2. The industry is maturing and is no longer the wild west it once was. To the benfit of players, many of the old rogue casinos have folded. Professional publishers are doing quite well and now have the knowledge base and staff to prosper in the current enviroment.
3. In 2009 the US administration will change hands and the draconian black cloud that has hung over Washington for the last 8 years will begin to clear. We at CAP believe there will be significant progress made on restoring freedom for small business to operate (affiliates and programs) in the US and for player choices and rights to return. This will lead to a surge in the Online Gaming market that is unprecedented. Those who are ready and quick to capitalize on those new opportunites will see hyper growth.
