I learnt French for 3 years for my HSC and finished top 10% in the state (end of school exams for anyone who is not an Aussie).. Didn’t speak it for 6 years but realised last year when I went to Paris it is still in there, just gotta knock on it’s door to open it back up again.. reading and writing is never a prob, although sometimes like Kelly I need to look up a word here and there because I forget what it is.

I also went to Greek school last year for 6 months and was learning Greek for about 4 years by ear… I can carry a conversation but I wouldn’t say I’m the best.. I know a lot of random stuff. Lots of historical things too. Apparently Greeks are very patriotic and living in a greek household really is like My Big Fat Greek Wedding.. everything stems from the Greeks somehow ;)

Learnt Italian when I was 10 and could speak it better than english, although not speaking it for 15 years I don’t remember much at all :(

My next language is going to be Hungarian – the mother tongue. Love learning languages.

Edit: Wish I knew how to speak Spanish – would have come in handy in Barca – instead I started talking to the cab drivers in Greek before remembering that yes, I’m drunk, and no, they don’t speak Greek.
