No reason to doubt the Guardian Report. it’s not up to deputy registrars (which is what acorn uses for their registration drive), to decide which applications to turn in and which to toss out, you have to turn them all in. It is the country/city/town clerk to determine their validity.
BTW if Acorn registrars are so horrible/criminal that these various clerks are “exposing” them to the media, why don’t they just revoke the deputy registrars that are doing this? I don’t seen any story about how these various Republican politicians are tossing out bad registrars and why not if it’s so outrageous.
I’ll believe the guardian’s explaination, since it actually makes sense and having been a deputy registrar, i know the deputy can’t refuse to register people, can’t dispose of “bad” registrations, etc.
