voting is kept on tuesdays to make it harder for people, especially those low in rank/status/income to get to vote. Some states have early voting or allow all people to vote absentee, to eliminate this issue, making it very easy for their citizens to vote.
The democrats want people to come up register and vote the same day, willing to accept the possible fraud, to allow more to vote.
Republicans, in ohio in 2004, removed voting machines from democratic precincts (mainly inner city black precincts) and put them into republican precincts. Then when hundreds of people sit in line for hours on end, they run to a judge and try to prevent people who were in line when the polls were open, to vote, once the polls are scheduled to close. They argue that people aren’t guarantee the right to actually vote, only to try to manage to get in and vote during the scheduled hour. if for any reason the voters can’t be accomodated during this time, they don’t get to vote.
These are the people who tried to storm the the ballot counting room in dade county florida in 2000, with a crowd of screaming facists surrounding the building demand the counting stop. I’m trying to guess what sorts of dirty tricks they have planned for this election.
Which side is evil here? the one willing to let people vote and risk the fraud or the people who are claiming to want a fair election trying to prevent people who are at the polling to place ready to vote, from voting?
