PS Erik, Didnt you leave out a few of those Fannie Mae guys who gave Obama money.. Im not going to get into who or how much, but isnt it a little childish to name some who helped one party and then leave out the fact that Obama was the second largest benifactor of fanniemay while he has only been a senator for 2 years. Are you really concerned about our country or YOUR agenda, cause if its your country your concerned about, I would think you would present all of the facts and let the people decide after hearing both sides, not just one. Honestly, you and everyone esle in here knows this bs go’s on both sides, sometimes the dems are worse, sometimes the reps are worse, but at least be up front and name the people who helped Obama get money to build his new house, I mean come on with this one side BS.
Its all about your agenda, people in here might agree with you and slam, but they know your comments are bias, cause if they werent you would list the faults of the other side.
I was citing current McCain campaign advisors w/ lobbyist or official fundraising posts that have direct ties to Freddie & Fannie. Everyone is aware that both camps have taken money from them whether directly or indirectly at some point. Those listed are official campaign fundraisers (bundlers). The distinct difference is that when Obama has been made aware of an advisors/staffers conflict of interest, they were asked to leave or they resigned. Which as far as I’m aware was only Jim Johnson (on the VP selection committee). The Raines connection was quickly & decisively proven false. McCain on the other hand apparently has no problem allowing his campaign staff, who have direct ties to Fannie & Freddie including his campaign manager, to continue without repercussion. I am fully aware that nobody’s hands are clean of the financial crisis we are in. Neither candidate, or any Senator or Rep., can escape blame for this mess. My concern is that with a campaign (McCain’s) run overwhelmingly by lobbyists, they will have direct influence on McCain’s policy making decisions should he become president. I don’t have an “agenda”. I have serious problems with McCain and his lack of judgement (example: Picking Palin as his VP pick after meeting her only once) & also his views on the critical issues that our country faces. I also strongly feel that Obama & Biden represent my view of what is best for our country. I am far more concerned about my country than my “agenda”. Could we please try to avoid personal attacks? This has been an excellent discussion up until this point. I am not writing an article in a esteemed journal where I’m expected to provide both perspectives. I’m posting on a message board w/ an admitted tilt towards the candidate I support. Kinda like the Fox “news” channels “We report, You decide” crap. Like you said… “to freedom of speech, everyones freedom” :hattip:
