Yes I would assume that CAP barcelona might not happen in the future because the police busted the poker tournament and seized equipment (chips, tables, a blackjack table from exhibitor booth).
I don’t recall any other conference were affiliates/manager were mugged. Once an affliate had his stuff stolen while passed out on the street in Amsterdam, which didn’t involve an attack. Given the number of people mugged and pickpocketed the last two times, i wouldn’t want to come out to late night parties here again.
The city is nice, great in the day, expensive all the time, but a bit scary down by the sea late night.
