sipka, i beg to disagree a little bit.
i dont see americans (as people) as war mongerers at all. but their government is. the government has been pulling off an easy trick for decades now, wave the american flag and claim that they have been attacked. this was actually something pioneered by nazis back in the day (back to joseph goebbel, known as ‘false flag’ operation). yea, wave the flag and claim germans are being annihilated by invaders. a bad habit is quite contagious…
latin america is a good example of US struggle to bring democracy there. favour the tyrants for the sake of socialists not taking over in order to bring in ze corporations. virtually every country in latin america has had something to do with american imperialism, if i may call it that.
vietnam apparently was not such a clean sheet either, their attack on US ships was faked (which gave US a legitimate reason to attack). 9/11 doesnt seems so crispy clean either when architects claim that the WTC was built to withstand plane crashes, let alone freefall after 1 hour of burning…i guess you can follow this process with claims of iraq going nuclear, and now iran…
and yea, clinton was in it too. the serbian attack was not so clean on ‘sovereignity’ issues either.
…good friendly policy, all i can say.
the whole difference today is that US has lost its moral validity in the world by blatantly faking its ‘claims’ to war. this can be attributed to internet, people’s inter-connectivity all over the world and that over some time it becomes hard shit to sell.
back in the day, uncle sam was fighting them commies. such awful bastards those communists. they have now been replaced with terrorists. such awful bastards those terrorists. with the recent developments in georgia, the communists are back in action…what a surprise. lets make the world in black and white and rule them all one way or the other. with us or against us, that is no longer the question…
for those interested in an interesting twist to the evil empire story and how close we might be to a nuclear war, read this one. as subjective as it is, it has some points not a lot of media dare to raise.
