To put this to perspective – some of us (for example me)
A) Don’t even own a car (have never owned)
Live in <30m^2 apartment (renting it outside from high expense area, not owning)
This is not to bash OP, but just as a reminder that if one cuts expenses BEFOREHAND (not having a car etc.) and budget all of their living expenses BEFOREHAND very strictly, keeping in mind what they´ll make (worst case scenario) – one shouldn´t encounter this kind of a situation. It´s all about personal finance planning. There are over 2 billion people out there living with less than $5/day.
EDIT: actually after reconsidering it, I think that number of people living with less than $5/day is much higher than 2 billion.
