I know what you mean Chipeez, but the funny thing about “gifts” is that often the AM’s then try to leverage off these “gifts” as some sort of special relationship later on.
I don’t like that. It means it was a bribe or sweetener not a gift.

But I do agree that as a “gift” it can be a nice surprise. I’ve sometimes done this for my writers – and it’s always gone down well.
