I gave a loan one time that was quite a bit of money to me .I was suppose to get a monthly payment back ,after 8 months of no money and it became clear to me the person was not going to pay me back because of poor spending choices .From that day to this i wont give a loan to anyone,I am not a banker and don’t pretend to be one so when anyone ask i only give what i am comfortable to part with.
There are also bad people out there who make it tough for people in bad circumstances.This is a true story just from my own experience.I lived in brampton for 17 years before moving where i live now.When my daughter went to school and i had to take her to the bus stop i came to know a lady who had lived on my street for 9 years yet i had never seen her before.
She didnt look very well off to me and before long she use to come for coffee almost daily.After a while she told me about their hardships etc.You have to remember at that time I was not in the position i am today ,i had mortgage ,car payments and had been off work 5 years raising my daughter.I started taking this lady to the grocery store with me and i bought her groceries every week – i fed the family of 4 for over two years until one day their van broke down.My friend worked for a dealership and I asked him to help them get into a new vehicle and told him they cant afford much.
About 9pm that night my friend called to say the neighbour came in and bought a BRAND NEW dodge caravan with all the toys ,my friend asked me if i was aware they were MORTGAGE FREE and they went and got a mortgage and paid cash for the van.
Apparantly this was a scam they had been running for years ,dressing like hillbillies ,crying poverty yet had their house paid for.I bought her kids new clothes ,shoes , you name it i did for them .I moved 7 years ago and havent seen her since then but probably there is a new sucker living there now supporting them
