Actually: a second question: banners vs text links in general. How are banners doing these days? Are people “immune” to them? What’s working best in a general environment for people? Any particular type of banner doing the business?
For me, definitely text links (or screenshots). People mostly are banner-blinded, I tried to put one banner spot on my bingo site, but beside my test-clicks they didn’t get anything else 
So now I am thinking about how to replace that spot.
My clickthroughs are from the text links and from the bingo/slot screenies.
