I would prefer e-mail and MSN/Skype in the beginning of the partnership.
After some time, after you have a good relationship with the manager, I don’t see the phone calls as a problem.
What happened to me once was that after two months in the business I get a call from an affiliate manager asking “where is the traffic, where are the players?”, so I hated it. Now it works with some other programs.
