Guys,
Many thanks for your suggestions and they have duly been taken on board by the team here. Whilst I can make no promises to have negative carryover removed from our terms and conditions, we are here to ensure that our affiliates perform and continue to prosper therefrom.
On the most part, the team over here is a new one, brought in to grow the affiliate programme to its full potential. Clearly there were boundaries set by the business long before many of us arrived, negative carryover being one of them. At a fundamental business level, it is completely rational for negative amounts to be carried over – losses shared as well as profits.
That said, we are fully aware from past roles and experience, that this can put off some affiliates – given that many other operators take a different approach. In VC’s case – and I know as I was there – the lack of a single wallet solution meant that zeroing negatives was seen as essential to ensure affiliate business prospered.
Our hope at bet365 is, as The Gooner alludes to, the strength of sportsbook platform and the complete brand umbrella encompassing the top non-Asian Playtech casino and a brand new Bingo offering, all under a single wallet continue to counter this. I think, on the whole, affiliates are happy with the affiliate offering – as agreeing to our terms and conditions indicates, along with the messages of support in this thread. That said, the online gaming affiliate industry is growing so fast it’s all about making affiliates and operators alike even happier!
So your suggestions have been noted and will add to our strategic thinking going forward.
