Even if I had the money, had the access, after the latest Ultimate Bet / Absoulte cheating fiasco …. no way I’d enter those kind of stakes. Not even if I was a good player on top of that.
The message sent out loud and clear by the very people who should be outraged about cheating … was that its okay to cheat us … but if we catch you … then you have to pay us back what we lost … but we’ll continue to support your business despite the fact you not only allowed us to be cheated but then aggressively tried to cover it up once the cheating was brought to light.
I’m afraid I have little passion left for online poker. All those who are suppose to be so ballsey as to make bold bluffs and courageous calls …. don’t have the backbone to make themselves walk away from a place that treated them in such manner…
its not the owner of the poker rooms i have the most distaste, as it sounds like he has never made much secret as to his true thing going on, some would / could claim he’s infamous in Canada as an organized crime boss, so no big secret there.
But the poker players! Geez what a message they have sent to all those who would seek to cheat players. You might get away with it, might get caught, (actually if read closely its telling you if you are careful you probably won’t get caught, just don’t be greedy) but in any case even if you’re caught … you might actually be forgiven and back in action with minimal damage … within a very short time period.
where’s the downside?
