You post a contract description (for example say you’re looking for a banner designed) with basic informations such as exactly what the project is.
Providers view the contract offer and bid on it.
You choose someone, put money in Escrow (preferably), person does the job and then you pay (Escrow or Paypal mostly).
It’s not very good for very elaborate projects but for link building, graphics etc it’s great.
