EcoCard was $10 for them and $10 for the intermediary bank Deutsch Bank (sp?).

I did a transfer last week and paid $20 to QuickTender and $10 to Deutsch Bank. Expected the fee to be $20 flat rate as stated on the site but when my money came in it was $10 short – so I asked my bank to do a trace. QT had posted the transfer less $20 – their fee. My bank had posted the incoming amount less $30 then deducted their fee.

It turned out – nowhere is it mentioned – that QT is still doing the intermediary bank thingy and that’s my missing $10.

Egg on my face – I apologized to my bank and thanked them for finding out where my $10 went.

Hope that clears it up.

Thanks again to Universal4 for his suggestion of Wamu that only charges $10 for incoming wires.

By the way, for Floridians banking Riverside. I was infuriated last week to learn that they sold out to Bank of North Georgia in March, 2006!!!! No advice to depositors, of course. Check it yourselves – go to riversidebank.com

Cheers,
