The amount on untrue stuff flying around – anyway i appreciate what happend caused a lot of upset – and despite how many hours i spend explaining to affiliates what actually happened, doesn’t seem to make much difference to the wider community.
From the above URL Point number one is completely untrue – we actually have a fraud team who try to prevent duplicate accounts – we’re certainly not interested in creating them to cut out affiliate commission.
Interested to see some evidence of this – i’ve worked at Sportingbet three years and have never seen this.
In fact the opposite is more true – we have players open accounts with affiliates because of the benefits of our affiliate program.
Point 2; Sportingbet closed their affiliate program – that was true
The reason behind it was because all marketing for Sportingbet stopped. There was no transferring of players to new accounts and we had never agreed any form of life time commission, so we didn’t stab any one in the back. In fact all our affiliate marketing was run by an agency – and it is because of this that i now run affiliate marketing for Sportingbet in house.
Point 3 – again untrue – i was speaking about it publicly and am happy to continue to do this
Point 4 – i know nothing about this and as far as i am away is also untrue
