Been hacked twice myself so know what it’s like. On the plus side, it does make you tighten up and be better prepared when the losers strike again. Second time it happened I was all up and running again inside the hour thanks to lessons learned from the first one 
Shouldn’t be difficult to track them down: hands up all those who are social misfits, dont go out much and have no friends.
