Now i know some will point out that Buf won 13-10, with 11 straight points in the last 10 minutes of the game, but that is debateable, there is a very little known NFL rule which hardly ever comes into play…it states that…
“If team is winning in the 4th quarter, having dominated every category on both offense and defence, then Home Team reserves the right to enforce the mercy rule”
So basically u have a situation where Miami with nothing to play for applied the mercy rule to Buffy in a display of good gesture unseen in 40 years of NFL Football
