You need to set the .com as the top level domain (tld)
The .co.uk, can have it’s own mets tags without a google penalty. Do a search on it. It’s all done using a 301. The lady that always speaks at CAP discussed this in the Bahamas, maybe someone could get this info from her.
you will get slammed for spoofing with that thought.. Never treat visitors any differently than you treat SE’s or they will ALL ban you
You won’t get slammed if you do it right, also it’s not spoofing if you inform google about it. The NY Times does it and it’s 100% ok with google. Check googles webmaster tools, I think you can do alot of this on there.
Why do you want to send UK visitors to a .com? Be proud of .co.uk!!!
Because a .co.uk is intended for people from the UK only and he wants google to see that his site is global.
