Interesting little battle. My guess is the Bush Admin (lame duck as it is) is in no mood to start a fight with anyone. They don’t care. I think the Christian Repukes realize their time is up in Americas Political scene, so you should see less and less in the enforcement of UIGEA this comming year. There is no surprise why the Regulations are now exactly 3 months late! They probably will never be officially released. Why should they to be, wholefully enforced for the next 12 months if that? Why should the banks spend millions to revamp their ACH filters if they may be moot shortly after Chimp gets out of office. Not economically feasible. I see the whole hoopla over online gambling and the UGIEA slowly fading into oblivia with Bush’s Presidency. It will probably sink just as fast also. A law is only as good as its enforcement. I dont think their will be much desire to enforce this one much longer.
