Basically the problem is:
1. Most everyone despises B4Playing.
2. Most people dont like Itay due to his past associations.
3. Several senior members are commited to burning Itay and B4Playing. Thats not just here he gets hit with rotten tomatos wherever he goes.
My problems are the following:
1. We acquired the Gambling Webmaster School domain and content. We thought this made sense as a way to pick up some additional content for CAP 2.0.
2. Part of the terms of that purchase was that Itay would have a spot for B4Playing here at CAP. No one says anyone has to join the damned program. I havent and wouldnt, but its presence seems to be irritating people.
3. We required that he make a minimum number of useful posts at CAP and help newbies. When we put this clause into the purchase we honestly didnt know that there was this “black hatter” skeleton hanging in his closet.
I got after Itay because he wasnt posting and interacting as we had agreed. I didnt want him just shilling for B4Playing so I specifically asked him to join in on other conversations and be a normal member who shares his opinions.
His short posts are probably reflective of that conversation and as a result I am partly to blame for this.
I can ask him to cut out the short posts but really he’s no more guilty of this then a lot of other pollies who chime in on conversations without adding anything of value. Where do we draw the line?
Guys I think the fact that many of you just dont like him is making you ultra sensitive to everything he does.
He’s not my favorite person in the world either, but I hate to throw someone out of the community just for that. Yes, if he was beligerent or fought with other members or busted Dom or my balls publically I would cut him off at the ankles. But hes not doing any of that. He’s just basically there and that pisses people off.
Is there any way we can all just get along and look at Itay as a village idiot we see on the corner but ignore? Or am I going to be haunted until we cast him into the lake in chains?
