As is common with my working relationship with you so far, every time someone says something bad about what has been going on, you have taken it personally and refer to it as trashing you. This is not trashing anyone, merely stating fact and opinion to describe what has truly happened here, and protect the affiliates that drive traffic to these types of events. Please know, that every time you post something like this, I am going to give provable examples that refute anything that is inaccurate. Throughout this entire thing, no one has ever just said, “you know what Wolfie, we really really dropped the ball here. This is totally our fault. We are sorry.” Instead you continue to defend all of this with comments you know I can refute with evidence in addition to just my opinions. Please see my comments in red…
Dear ActionPoker Network Players and Affiliates,
We regret to inform you of the cancellation of our Holiday in Vegas events that were set for Aug. 25 and 26 with the GGE and OFC Group, as seen below…HOWEVER we are delighted to mention that as compensation for all our players that have been inconvenienced by this, we have a GREAT new offer for you. On receipt of the list of Pre Registered players for this event, ActionPoker will grant access to a $15+1 satellite to our $25 K Guaranteed on Sept 8th 2007.
Action! Poker will not receive the list of Pre-Registered players, as they are in breach of the agreement made with GGE.
In response to the above mentioned cancellation, our situation is as follows. Due to technological restraints beyond our control after our system migration to the Income Access platform, we are not able to offer the tournaments as designed and promoted. These unforeseen and unexpected complications sadden us as much as you, as you know we have put in countless hours working to make them so outstanding.
You had 2 months to figure that out, and were asked several times to do so. I was told everything would be taken care of.
We have compensated OFC and GGE since July per our promotional agreement, in saying this we have honored our contract in taking care of the GGE/OFC staff for their efforts.
Because of these 2 month old “unforeseen and unexpected circumstances, ” GGE will not be paid for the total amount of the agreement, 50% of which is due after the events run. Furthermore, GGE will never see a dime in affiliate revenue for all the players that have not been tagged to them, as was also part of our agreement. The compensation GGE has received is about half of what we could have made had we been able to actually run GGE tournaments over the last 2 months. I will put it this way, after paying my staff and marketing costs, I have broken even, while Wager Profits will profit off of the hundreds of new players that I brought them by marketing these events.
I can pridefuly honor my staff for their diligence; our affiliate manager is dedicated, loyal and competent, along with our cardroom manager.
Diligence, dedication and competency would have been preparing for all of this more than a few days in advance. You had 2 months, yet your poker manager had no idea that there was a buyin, and had no idea you could not do what was agreed upon, even though he and I talked about it 2 months ago when we met in person.
You had 2 months to put promotions together for the players, yet waited until Sunday, and only after I had to prove you had not done it yet. I have still yet to hear from my affiliate manager with a reason that he can back up on why my tracking was wrong.
I have been dealt with dishonestly, I have been ignored, I have been blown off with no follow up on very important issues, and I have even been hung up on. Do you really need me to post all of the documented examples of how many times you and your staff had absolutely no idea about what was going on, even up to two days ago?
This project was pushed through by a former staff member. Sadly, we are suffering from that person’s inattention to detail and lack of communication with the rest of our team. We encourage all affiliates and players, to bare in mind that there are always two sides to a story, however we don’t feel that by trashing anybody we will find closure to any situation, those of you who deal with our staff on a personal level know the attention, motivation and deliverance you have received from all on board.
Once again, you had 2 months to go through a five page agreement that was made with you twice. This part of your post is the most insulting. Take some responsibility. Everyone will respect your program more. You were in charge of these events for 2 months, and you and your staff chose to totally neglect the details of the project. After accepting this project, it is my opinion that you should have actually read through the 5 page agreement with everyone on your staff that would be involved and make sure everything could be done. 1 day before pre-registration ends is not the time for your “diligence.”
This isn’t trashing you, or saying you are bad people. This is business, and if what you do or do not do effects how other people earn their living, be prepared to be accountable for it. Everyone that knows me, knows that I have NEVER trashed anyone in a public forum. The fact that this is the very first time I have ever had to write an explanation like this after 6 years in the industry should speak volumes.
Our COO also has full faith in our staff and didn’t feel it necessary to contact OFC due to the ActionPoker Team’s fine track record of success with such promotions and tournaments.
How does he feel now?
Your COO’s decision to ignore me is what cost you these events, as something could have been arranged. We could have postponed the events, we could have reformatted the events, made things work, but I certainly was not going to come to that arrangement without having his word on it. He knew there were several major issues going on, as he was copied on every email between myself and the Wager Profits staff, yet chose to ignore my attempts to resolve these issues with him.
ActionPoker Network is now, as it always has been, dedicated to providing the most enjoyable and secure gaming environment for our players and affiliates. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
If you really mean this, then just take responsibility for all of this, and don’t make it worse by trying to defend yourself with inaccurate statements. When you do, you are pretty much calling me a liar. Please know that I am going to defend my original statements with documented examples.
Kindest Regards & Sincerest Apologies
