The sites have a Google/Amazon search box. (Adsense?) When a visitor types in a query the results are displayed in a frame on the same site.
If you mouse over any of the results you’ll bascially see a concatenated string similar to the one below in the status bar. The part in red is the search query string and the part in blue is the page title of the search result.

If you click on any of the search results (links) the corresponding site opens in the same frame.
I’m not sure why Google even crawled those unless the queries were hard coded which would be unethical.
Personally, I don’t like sites that use frames.
