.eu domains – how well do they rate in engines, and how well would eu domains rate in european based search engines?

does anyone know?

i guess i am asking, how serious / important is it having an .eu domain.

Hi Kar,

How well a page from a website ranks in the engines depends on your own optimization efforts put in.

It’s not an domain extension that ranks well, it’s the content that ranks well for sites that rank well, having build up a level of authority.

1:It’s the appeal of a domain, a clean and descriptive generic domain consistent of either 1 or two keywords that appeals to the public, as they can relate to it and it airs a form of authority.

2:Keywords in a domain not only appeal to the public but also to the search engines, unless your overly stuffing keywords in a domain with a multitude of hyphens.

3: An extension can also bring value expressing the market you represent.
