I’ve been letting domains drop, a dozen or so per week, since december, probably dropped over $1000 a year of domains so far.
Hosting, at one point i had 10 dedicated servers and a few dozen shared hosting places. i’m down to 4, plus 2 that we are about to be shutdown and we let a couple of virtual hosting run out too.
I had so many crappy/unfinished/forgotten sites that when the money was pouring in, wasn’t an issue. Today you realize the $2-$3k a month that you are now saving, is what the average person lives on.
Clean up every few months and try to reduce recurring costs.
