The part that the income can fluctuate is a bad side effect of the industry, IMO.
I much prefer a steady, predictable income. Filling advertising spots with many different properties helps offset that.
I disagree that gambling is bad. If you gamble trying to make a profit at it, that’s not good.
Gambling is simply a form of entertainment, and the players I like to attract are those that see it as such. They budget the money they want to spend, and every month they enjoy the games they like. The huge variety of available games caters to this type gambler. It’s not so much “winning or losing” to this type gambler, it’s pure entertainment and added is the possibility that they might hit a big one while having fun.
Actually, the majority of gamblers thinks this way, and that’s a good thing. Otherwise problem gamblers would abound. As is they are a very tiny percentage. The percentage of people who drink alcohol and become alcoholics is much, much higher.
