Understanding the blood sugar connection helped me understand/overcome the craving. That little bit of stress and the urge starts cos the ciggies increase the blood sugar hence the craving.

Orange juice helps clean out the nicotine and also hot baths. If the urge really gets you go for the gum but chew slowly or you will be sick as a dog. Pick up some butts and put in a jar with a little water…when you crave a smoke go whiff that and the urge will go because it stinks!

I quit close to 3 years ago one week after Ellen. Every now and then ya get a split second craving but the health benefits are apparent in six months. At 47 I am in top shape and ideal body weight (I was always a skinny sod).
