Now I doubt this was the reason but just in case it might provide an answer. Once when I attempted to log in from an office network and was routed around the world a few times and via Hungary (I think) they locked my account. A quick email and phone call and it was solved. Just an anti-fraud routine they had in place. From now on I always try and log in from the same IP address.
