Just to keep this discussion going (off0topic though it is) …

Alexa holds 2 metrics.
Estimated visitor percentage of the internet and average pages read per visitor.
The ranking seems to be some sort of sliding scale of the two.
If you get a lot of visitors through an article on digg or such-like and they only read the page they’re on before leaving then they force down the average pages – and that negatively affects the rank.
Looking at Ogpaper.com the daily reach (on the graph) seems consistant to some sort of pattern – it looks like you have a weekly cycle?
But the page views seem to be the issue causing a lower than expeted rank?
Somewhere between 1.3 and 2.1 ?
