My opinioin probably won’t be popular. Here goes anyway:

Now is the time for us to pull together, affiliate programs and affiliates, to support each other.

This is not necessarily directed at VA, as there are rumours that they were cash strapped before the latest wave of misery – the loss of Neteller – impacted online gambling.

That being said, recent upheavals in the landscape have drastically cut overall revenues at online casinos that earn(ed) a good percentage of their revenues from the United States. I believe the smaller programs must be hurting as much as U.S. directed affiliates are.

I think we need to take the time to review and understand the impact this is having across the industry as a whole before damning any programs who make changes to cut costs and stay afloat. If we are tolerant of changes now, we will benefit by not having fewer affiliate programs in business. Last thing affiliates need is a monopoly who has no need to compete for advertising space on our websites.

Hopefully, once the iron veil has lifted (and we all pray it will), cost cutting measures taken now will be lifted.
