G’day Trish,
I’d be very interested to hear when Macedonia seceded from Greece. When I lived in Greece, it was a province and greek-speaking. I don’t think Salonika (Thessaloniki) is large enough to become a capital city of a new country, so I’m assuming it was annexed by someone.
This must have a tremendous effect on the international exhibitions and conventions that are traditionally held there.
