Not all is rosey in Canada these days either. They recently elected a government which is taking them to the “right” wing and the effects are just now starting to show up in news like we see below:

It’s a pity too as Canada WAS generally more progressive and enlightened then us Yanks, but our poison has apparently started to spread north.
