I actually got the book from Amazon because none of the shops here had it and just easeir to order from Amazon with my usual DVDs and CDs. It was published in 2003 so it might be a bit out of date but still a good read nonetheless.
As for going offshore, one thing to consider is how far away from civilisation you are. That’s probably why Central America is appealing. Places like Vanuatu are in the middle of nowhere and that makes it difficult to get away from if necessary. Coming from a small island, part of the appeal was being able to get out fairly easily once in a while. As Aussies and Kiwis also know, the Pacific and Indian Oceans are big and the travel cost and time prohibits more of us travelling more often.
Another thing to remember if you are trying to distance ownership from operations is that eventually you have to place a lot of trust in some-one so you really need to do the research first.
