Personally I feel it would be safe to continue a gambling portal, but only promoting sites that do NOT accept US players any longer.
That way you can always claim you are not targeting US players, but only other countries where online gambling is legal. If none of your links are to sites that allow US players you should be safe !?
Question is, is this going to be profitable. Most likely not for the vast majority of portal webmasters.
