This guy says .. “It is also part of my theory that the Vegas, Atlantic City, and Indian casinos have actually been secretly lobbying FOR anti-internet gambling legislation ..”

DUH ? .. I don’t think there is any secret about it .. Las Vegas casinos have been spending a ton of money lobbying Washington in regard to Internet gaming. They don’t like a bunch of amateurs coming along and taking money they feel should be theirs.

It is their contention that they should be the only ones allowed to offer online gambling, as well as being involved in the regulation of it, since they have hundreds of years of combined experience.

I said basically the same thing in this forum a couple of years ago .. but, everyone sort of acted as though I didn’t know what I was talking about.

The casinos are spending big bucks (as we speak) developing their own software programs, so they will be ready to go when the time comes.

AND .. If I were one of those sports book guys who was recently arrested .. I would definitely be looking over my shoulder .. and back off the online sports betting. Sports betting is BIG business in Las Vegas!

Being arrested is the least of their worries! :shooter:
