Actually, no. Frist is trying to pass it by attaching it to other legislation. I’m surprised there isn’t more hubub happening here at CAP. If he succeeds in attaching the language to another bill, it won’t have ANY debate on the Senate floor. It will just sail through. That could happen tomorrow, by the end of the week, or during the lame duck session in November.
This is not a drill, folks. This is potentially happening. Like, NOW.
