I guess I did right thing by disengaging myself from speaking at this conference. I never thought of it as a business adventure but a opportunity to help. I could not see the business side of things giving a lecture on blackhat/seo. My mind was fixed on attempting to make people understand this topic better.
Mark however was kind enough to book my flight and hotel on my behalf. I still have the ticket but figured it would be immoral of me to use it.
I do not know Mark on a personal level so I will not pass judgement. But it seems apparent many people and programs are a little ticked off. I am hearing this from all directions.
I would really like to see someone else host these events.
