You know it just occurred to me what everyone means by my posts being somewhat cryptic. From your perspective some of them essentially don’t make sense. I failed to realize this from a neophytes perspective.
Cryptic for me means quite the opposite. Spending years in the hacker world the language is very much cryptic but of a different kind. They tend to use strict hacker jargon, a more precise language for communicating. For example double verbing is often used.
Instead of going through the whole thing of explaining things they often only have one word. For example the word “gweep”
/gweep/ [WPI] 1. v. To {hack}, usually at night. At WPI, from 1977 onwards, this often indicated that the speaker could be found at the College Computing Center punching cards or crashing the {PDP-10} or, later, the DEC-20; the term has survived the demise of those technologies, however, and is still live in late 1991. “I’m going to go gweep for a while. See you in the morning” “I gweep from 8pm till 3am during the week.” 2. n. One who habitually gweeps in sense 1; a {hacker}. “He’s a hard-core gweep, mumbles code in his sleep.”

lossage as in “what a lossage!” meaning a harware failure.
I know this language inside and out. What I see on some CAP posts are derived from hacker jargon.

If I were to post ” hacked off greek39/00 ” this would mean I am annoyed at the adminstrators victimizing my site via crackers over and out and over to you.
This is a tuff habit to break when posting but will definatley try. Many of the BH group use such hacker jargon as well. Sometimes you can tell their skill level when they post.
