Use the internet to earn a living, yes, but dont let the internet take living out of your life.
This is a problem I ran into also. One day I realized I wasn’t spending much time with my husband anymore, hadn’t played with my dogs in ages, forgot to enjoy the field of daffodils I had planted for spring, and so on. The computer was on from the minute I got up til when I went to bed.
So I turned over a new leaf, and amazingly, less can be more.
I still turn on the computer when I get up, because that is my most creative time and I like to spend it on my business. I do, however, turn it off like clockwork in the late afternoon/early evening and enjoy time away from the computer. I also turn it off for a block of hours during the day at least twice a week and am still increasing the frequency of this.
I find I am more focussed now when I am online and I get more done.
If you find yourself sucked into the screen, put a stop to it. You’ll be happier and so will everyone around you.
In that spirit, enjoy your vacation, Greek.
