Our German friends (in other words their lawyers) like to send us “cease and desist” orders, worth $300-$400, if they spot any links to foreign gaming sites on our websites.

In Germany they have a few sportsbooks, no licensed online casinos or poker rooms. Foreign gambling operations are illegal of course. Same goes for Switzerland, if I remember correctly.

So, if I understand correctly, In Austria, it’s ok to play at online casino’s from other countries as long as its poker only?

And for Germany and Switzerland – you mention that foreign gambling operations are illegal. Can you clarify that this means no outside online casinos are allowed to be played by their citizens?

Everybody – the sole purpose of this list would be to let us webmasters know to what countries we can market. So what I need to know is bottom line – what countries allow their citizens to gamble online and if so:

1. Are citizens allowed to gamble at outside online casinos or just their own country’s.
2. If there are any restrictions to types of games allowed.

So far I have the following:

New Zealand (no restrictions)
USA (currently no restrictions)
Great Britain (no restrictions)
Austria (Poker only?)
Germany (online casino must be owned by Germany?)

Please correct any mistakes I might have.

Thanks!
