Hi,

Thanks for the update, we have looked over everything on Hotscripts (basic stuff), not impressed with many of the opensource CMS systems (mainly because of their limitations). Many of the opensource as you mentioned have a work around for the dynamic properties but as you mentioned they can be clunky and require some skillset in house in order to maintain.

Have also checked out a bunch of proprietary CMS systems and even commissed a guy to give us a complete report. The problem with many of the off-the-shelf CMS systems was they were designed in Coldfusion (don’t ask me why) and required that we get the design and hosting through their company. For sure that is not what we are looking for.

Some of the ASP hosted CMS applications are attractive but they don’t have many modules and you are stuck to what is provided. So for example, if you wanted to install a recip. link script you can’t as you don’t have access to install scripts into their dbase system.

Still searching…may have to just bite the bullet and design one internally, I was hoping not to go that way.

Still very interested in seeing what everyone is using, and if we do go the way of custom design I will keep everyone posted.
