For a couple of our sites we are looking to implement some elements of a Content Management System (CMS). We haved ripped out Mambo before as it was way too limiting. All of our sites today are basically static with scripts and server side includes…but the management of them is getting crazy.
Does anyone know of a good “off the shelf” system that they are using and can show me an example?
I’m currently using Nukephp for xxxhttp://www.wager2win.co.uk
To get around the non friendly URL’s you can implement Google Tap which makes the URL crawl friendly.
Though with any php driven script imo you need at least a basis understadning on php, otherwise adding even the simplest of mods can be a real pain.
If your looking for just a bare bones CMS, I’d start looking over at xxxhttp://www.hotscripts.com if what your looking for is around you’ll find it there.
Other than that as you said go down the custom built path.
If you require a custom built CMS drop me a pm I know a guy who can put something together for you.
Cheers
