Yep, we are a tough crowd Justin. CAP is an experienced bunch that has taken a lot of grief from various programs. Sorry you have to be greeted this way, but I like your quick and professional answers. There are a few programs on this forum that you can’t even get an answer from.
Since you are presenting this to the higher ups, I had another thought to consider on why you shouldn’t have this condition. For newer affiliates, gaining traffic these days is a 12-24 month project. This is caused by the incredible competition in this industry and is compounded by the Google sandbox. Because of this, newer affiliates struggle to deliver traffic, and speaking from experience, it can take a few months to even get one real money sign up, could be a couple more months to get the next one. And, when you are a new affiliate, you are tracking all of these things very closely and cheering when you get your first $20 deposit.
My point here is that by having this condition in your contract, you are essentially excluding any new affiliates from having success with your program. It’s not that the new affiliate isn’t working hard at building traffic, it’s just that building traffic is that tough in today’s marketplace. So, in the interest of building long and lasting relationships with the new affiliates as well as the established, I would think your superiors would want to reconsider this condition. Seems you could be missing out on a lot of business by keeping this condition in place.
