You’re right, Webzcas, it is my first post. But I’m no stranger to CAP – I’ve been reading these forums for well over 6 months. I’ve just never contributed before. I’m also no stranger to 888.com – last year along with many other affiliates I received their now-famous ‘letter-of-death’, informing me that my players were ‘bonus-abusers’ etc etc – same old garbage as everyone else.

They witheld around $84000 commission and I haven’t seen a penny of it.

For the record – I don’t think it’s INCENTIVIZED cpa that has been the isuue with 888. Their terms and conditions only ever allowed incentives when negotiated with them directly on a case by case basis. It was just their straight cpa deal which generated the problems, along with their bonus policy. Their deposit & withdrawal allowed (and in fact, STILL allows) people to deposit $200, receive a $200 bonus, and then withdraw the deposit again, leaving just the bonus to play with.

Lots of us signed people up by pointing this out – you couldn’t lose! You were only playing with their money. Who wouldn’t? I was getting 10-15 new players per day.

I know some members of this forum may try to take the moral high ground here (laughable when the truth is, in this industry we ALL live off other people’s broken lives) and say this approach to affiliating is wrong, but in fact it is the 888.com SYSTEM which is wrong because it allows this activity, and then penalises affiliates for exploiting it. If they don’t want people to use the system in this way, they shouldn’t set it up this way!

To this day, you can STILL open an account with 888, get the bonus, cash out your deposit and play with THEIR money. If they were REALLY bothered by this, they would have stopped it by now. In fact, I suspect that over time, even these players make an average profit for 888, as a percentage of them decide to give it another go with their own cash. Even better when 888 don’t have to pay for them.

So, they call the players ‘bonus abusers’ and shut affiliate accounts.

Great way to run a business.

Not.

I’m sorry if my first post caused offence to anyone (except 888, they can be as offended as they like, the more the better). But when you’re $84000 down you get a little bitter, yes?

Thanks for your support, Greek.
