let’s talk it through …
POSITIVE STUFF
– The site exists and has a PR that’s good. But PR2 doesn’t mean much
– Some site links (although they’ll drop if you keep it parked)
– It is in a good area for sales (poker is hot)
NEUTRAL STUFF
– An Alexa ranking of 2,000,000+ means very little though … I think that equates to about 30-40 visits a day?
– The name is sensible but not particularly catchy or type worthy as its a three word name. … was that playingwinningpoker.com ? or winatplayingpoker.com ? or ..
(you get what I mean).
NEGATIVE STUFF
– No content anymore (or is that to be sold with the site)
– No revenue stream.
The final question I would have asked – was is it in the top 10 results in google, MSN, or Yahoo for a targeted keyword … becuase this could be a real sales pitch.
But you’ve parked it … and you’ll quickly lose any rankings you had.
:banger:
Overall I do not really see much benefit over a freshly registered domain.
And certainly if there was another similar domain other there with the word poker in it then it would be just as desirable. And how many thousands of them are there out there?
That really puts you into a buyers market – there doesn’t seem to be any unique sales proposition. I’d say that if you could get around $100+ then take it.
However, if you look at other domain sales here in the domains section … the sites seem to start life up for offer at that price and usually seel for under $50.
Sorry mate – I just don’t see a BIG value. It’s just a name at this stage.
:hmmm:
