I saw that, and I disagree with it.

I don’t see how we can not hold Party responsible at this point. They have the ability to map over the players — and they are choosing not to. If Party gets away with this, then we will lose our players every time they acquire a program in the future. This is a slap in the face to the affiliates who have worked hard over the years to build up a nice amount of residual income. Party can’t just come along and buy something that doesn’t belong to Empire. The residual income (a percentage of it) belongs to the affiliates — not Empire. Empire is to blame for selling something that didn’t belong to them… but this wouldn’t be an issue if Party would simply map over the players and continue to honor the lifetime contracts.
