This is a red herring. There is currently a site with 0 PR ranking in the top ten for several money terms!
Do not be blinded by Page Rank.
Regarding the sandbox, it can take anything from 3 months ( yes that short!! ) to 2 years to get out of it. Just keep on adding quality content and work on your linking campaign. One tip though, don’t turn your sites into linking farms to achieve this. I would keep link pages down to a minimum.
